profile | biographies
Anne Laird-Blanton, AIA, was born and raised in the South, was educated at the University of Tennessee, and holds architectural licenses in New York and California. Anne's strong interest in social causes and personal relationships has guided her in creating a business that serves both residential and nonprofit clients. She combines a love of architecture and a concern for her clients' needs, with a practical knowledge of building codes, requirements, and the approval process. Her honesty, integrity and attention to detail are reflected in the quality of her work and the satisfaction of her clients.
Anne believes that service is not only key in her relationships with her clients but also with her community. She is actively involved with the American Institute of Architects and served as Secretary of the California Council (AIACC) from 2003-2004 and as 2006 President of AIA San Francisco. Since 2002 she has served on the San Rafael Design Review Board and has worked closely with the San Rafael Planning Department in coordinating community based design charrettes. Believing that our children hold the keys to the future of our environment, she also taught elementary school students in the Learning Education and the Arts Program (LEAP) for several years.
